Fast Start, Strong Finish for a Sub-4:04/km 5K Bradley ran 20:18 for 5.00 km, averaging 4:03/km at Run The Wharf in Canary Wharf. He placed 364th of 5,624 overall, 203rd male, and 36th in the mens 1825 division. That put him in roughly the top 6.5% of the field, a strong result in a large evening 5K. His pacing showed clear speed at both ends: 3:54 for the opening kilometre and 3:53 for the fifth, his joint-best section. The middle of the race drifted from 4:03/km in km 2 to 4:21 in km 3 before settling at 4:08 in km 4, then he closed well to gain 21 overall places in the final kilometre. As a coachs note: keeping km 34 a little closer to the opening pace could bring this under 20 minutes next time.
