Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Evie Venables #7999 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Fast Opening 2K Set Up a Strong 5K Finish Evie ran 5.00 km in 23:06, averaging 4:37/km. She placed 843rd of 5,624 overall, 167th female, and 57th in the female 1825 division. Her first 2 km were her quickest at 4:29 and 4:28/km, reaching 2 km in 8:56. From there, her pace shifted to 4:44, 4:50, and 4:37/km across the final 3 km. That late rebound in the last kilometre was a positive stat after the slower middle section. The opening speed gave her strong early position, and holding the 4:30s a little deeper into the race would likely trim more time next outing. Run The Wharfs closed-road evening 5K through Canary Wharf suited a quick start, and she made good use of it.
