That finish brought her back under her overall average pace in the final kilometre. She placed 121st in the Female 3640 division and finished in the top half overall, 2725th of 5624. The key stat here is the rebound at the end after a mid-race fade of 28 seconds from kilometre 1 to kilometre 4. For the next 5K, aiming to hold kilometres 2 to 4 a little closer to opening pace could turn that strong finishing speed into a quicker overall time at this fast evening Canary Wharf race.
