Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Luca Trill #42 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Strong Negative Split Secures Podium in Age Group Luca ran 5.00 km in 17:16, averaging 3:27/km. He finished 78th of 5,624 overall, 16th male, and 3rd in the Male 1825 division. That age-group podium stands out, especially in a large field. Racing through Canary Wharfs closed roads, he combined speed with steady position gains across the run. His pacing was very controlled: 3:35, 3:29, 3:31, 3:26, and 3:17 per km. He improved from 149th overall at 1 km to 78th at the finish, moving into 3rd in his division by 3 km and holding it. The fastest final kilometre was a clear strength. As a coaching note, the finish speed suggests there may be scope to press slightly earlier in the middle kilometres while keeping this strong closing pattern.
