Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Ilaria Biancacci #2256 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Fast Closing 5K with Strong Final Kilometer Ilaria ran 5.00 km in 32:34, averaging 6:30/km. Her result placed her 142nd in the Female 3640 division, with a field of 5,624 overall. She covered the opening 2 km very evenly in 6:32 and 6:32, reaching 2 km in 13:03. The standout stat was the finish: after 6:45/km for both kilometers 3 and 4, she closed the final kilometer in 6:02, her quickest of the race by 30 seconds per km versus overall pace. That late lift shows strong finishing speed and good control over the full distance. For future races, aiming to hold a little more of that final-kilometer rhythm through kilometers 3 and 4 could bring her overall time down further on this fast Canary Wharf 5K.
