Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Mark Webster #3022 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Strong Finish After a Steady 5K Mark covered 5.00 km in 37:31, averaging 7:30/km at Run The Wharf in Canary Wharf. He finished 3554th of 5624 overall, 1773rd male, and 334th in the male 3135 division. Through 4 km he held a very even rhythm, with kilometre splits of 7:26, 7:45, 7:57, and 7:41. The standout stat was the final kilometre: 6:43/km, his quickest of the race and 58 seconds faster than his slowest kilometre. He also improved his overall position from 3700th at 1 km to 3495th at 2 km before settling near his finishing place. That closing speed suggests he had more to give; aiming to bring a little of that last-kilometre pace into the middle section could help lower the overall time next time.
