Quick Opening 2K Set Up a Solid 5K Sylvie covered 5.00 km in 28:14, averaging 5:38/km. She placed 22nd in the Female 5155 division, 638th female, and 2058th overall out of 5624 starters. Her first 2 km were her strongest: 5:25 and 5:27, reaching 2 km in 10:52 at 5:26/km. That early section briefly moved her up to 16th in her division. From 3 km onward, pace settled to 5:55, 5:39, and 5:50/km. The fastest and slowest kilometres were separated by 30 seconds, showing a fairly controlled range across the race. As a coachs note, maintaining the first-2K rhythm a little deeper into the second half could trim time next outing. In a fast evening 5K through Canary Wharf, the opening speed was a clear positive.
