Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Humayun Kabir #471 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Fast Opening 5K with a Solid Sub-24 Finish Humayun covered 5.00 km in 23:21, averaging 4:40/km. He placed 884th of 5,624 overall, 569th among men, and 76th in the M36-40 division. His strongest segment was the opening kilometre in 4:06/km, which set up a quick early position inside the top 600 overall. From there, his kilometre splits were 4:42, 4:52, 4:59, and 4:43. That shows a noticeable slowdown through km 2-4 before a good rebound in the final kilometre. As a coaching note, a slightly more controlled first kilometre could help him hold closer to his finishing pace for longer and improve overall time. On this fast evening Canary Wharf course, finishing with a quicker last kilometre was a useful positive.
