Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Alistair Mcleod #161 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Fast Finish and Top-4 Age-Group Result Alistair ran 5.00 km in 19:03, averaging 3:48/km. He placed 203rd of 5,624 overall, 93rd male, and an excellent 4th in the Male 5155 division. In a large evening 5K through Canary Wharf, that is a strong age-group showing backed by a sub-19:10 performance. His pacing was steady across the first 4 km: 3:49, 3:51, 3:54, and 3:53/km, then he closed hard with a quickest final kilometre of 3:39/km. He also moved up well through the field, improving from 277th at 1 km to 203rd at the finish. From a coaching perspective, the finishing speed stands out; a slightly stronger middle section could support an even faster overall time next time.
