Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Mason Andrews #209 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Even pacing with a strong closing kilometre Mason covered 5.00 km in 23:58, averaging 4:47/km. In a field of 5,624, he finished 1,043rd overall and 128th in the male 3135 division. His pacing was notably steady: 4:42, 4:43, 4:57, 4:57, then back to 4:42 for the final kilometre. That gave him matching fastest opening and closing kilometres. The key stat is control across the full 5K: just 15 seconds separated his fastest and slowest kilometres. He moved up from 134th to 124th in his division by 2 km, then finished 128th after the middle section eased. As a coachs note, the first 2 km and final 1 km show the pace is there; holding closer to that rhythm through kilometres 34 could trim more time at future Friday Night Lights outings.
