Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Adefemi Adeniyi #7327 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Strong finish with a fastest final kilometre Adefemi covered 5.00 km in 24:03, averaging 4:48/km. He finished 1066th of 5624 overall, placing him in roughly the top 19% of the field. Among men, he was 700th, and 136th in the male 1825 division. His opening kilometre was a quick 4:38, and he was through 2 km in 9:33. The middle section dipped to 4:56/km at 2 km and 5:15/km at 3 km, but he responded well with a 4:44 fourth kilometre and a fastest 4:32 final kilometre. That closing 2 km in 9:16 was notably stronger than kilometres 24 combined trend, and he gained 31 places overall from 4 km to the finish. For a closed-road evening 5K in Canary Wharf, that late acceleration stands out; next time, aiming for a steadier middle kilometre could support an even faster overall time.
