Strong negative split and top-20 age-group finish Lee covered 5.00 km in 20:59, averaging 4:11/km. He finished 17th in the Male 4145 division, 265th male, and 448th overall out of 5,624. Running with Canary Wharf Run Club, he moved up steadily through the field, improving from 738th overall at 1 km to 448th by the finish. The key stat was his progression: 4:27, 4:17, 4:10, 4:04, and 4:03 per km. That is a consistent negative split, with each kilometre quicker than the last, and a 24-second gain from first to fifth kilometre. He had reached age-group 17th by 3 km and held it through the line. For future races, a slightly faster opening kilometre could unlock a lower overall time while keeping this excellent closing strength.
