Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Samuel Lee #73 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Fast Start, Strong Top-3% Finish Samuel covered 5.00 km in 18:33, averaging 3:42/km. He finished 162nd of 5,624, placing him in roughly the top 3% overall. Among men, he was 62nd, and 19th in the male 2630 category. In a large evening 5K through Canary Wharf, that is a strong result backed by a quick opening kilometre of 3:25. His pacing trend was 3:25, 3:37, 3:48, 3:56, then 3:49 per km. That early speed gave him excellent position, and he held on well over the final kilometre by running faster than kilometre 4. As a coachs note, the clearest gain is in smoothing the middle section from 24 km; a slightly more controlled first kilometre could help preserve pace deeper into the race.
