Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Alfie Brown #53 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Fast 5K with a Strong Age-Group Finish Alfie ran 17:12 for 5.00 km, averaging 3:26/km. He placed 75th of 5,624 overall, 14th male, and 2nd in the mens 1825 division. That age-group result stands out, especially in a large field. Run The Wharfs evening closed-road format in Canary Wharf suits quick running, and he made the most of it. His pacing was consistent early: 3:22, 3:22, then 3:31 through 3 km. The fourth kilometre dipped to 3:37 before he closed well with a 3:22 final kilometre, matching his opening speed. That late rebound is a good sign. The main opportunity is to hold the middle section a little closer to early pace; with that, there is clear potential to move this performance forward.
