Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Elliot Guest #2481 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Strong finish with improving pace throughout Elliot ran 5.00 km in 20:32, averaging 4:06/km. He placed 396th of 5,624 overall, 227th male, and 77th in the male 2630 division. In a large Canary Wharf field, that result put him well inside the top 10% overall. His pacing was controlled and effective: 4:07, 4:14, 4:10, 4:09, then a fastest final kilometre of 3:54. He moved up steadily from 530th at 1 km to 396th by the finish, gaining 134 places overall, including 56 places between 3 km and the line. That closing speed stands out. For future races, a slightly smoother 2nd kilometre could help unlock a little more time while keeping this strong finish.
