Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Holly Haywood #6804 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Fast 5K with a Strong Closing Kilometre Holly ran 5.00 km in 21:00, averaging 4:12/km. She finished 450th of 5,624 overall, 59th female, and 10th in the female 3135 division. That placed her in roughly the top 8% overall, with a particularly strong age-group result. Representing Third Space, she delivered a sharp performance at this fast evening Canary Wharf 5K. Her pacing was controlled early: 4:09, 4:10, then 4:22 through 3 km before settling back to 4:14 and finishing with her quickest kilometre at 4:07. She improved from 514th at 1 km to 450th by 3 km and held that overall position to the finish. The key positive is the closing speed after the slower third kilometre; smoothing that mid-race dip could bring the overall time down further.
