Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Lexix Rodriguez #6806 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Strong negative split with a fast closing kilometre Lexix ran 5.00 km in 27:10, averaging 5:26/km. She finished 1,807th of 5,624 overall, 510th female, and 174th in the female 2630 division. Representing Third Space, she improved her standing steadily through the race, moving from 2,303rd overall at 1 km to 1,807th by the finish. Her kilometre splits were 5:53, 5:45, 5:16, 5:14, and 5:03, a clear progression across all 5 km. The final 3 km averaged about 5:11/km, compared with 5:49/km for the first 2 km. That closing speed is the standout stat and suits a fast evening 5K like Run The Wharf. As a coachs note, a slightly quicker opening kilometre could help unlock a faster overall time while keeping this strong finish.
