Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Danny Greenland #6451 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Steady 5K with a Strong Mid-Race Response Danny ran 5.00 km in 28:43, averaging 5:44/km. He finished 2,171st of 5,624 overall, with a solid middle-of-field result in a large evening 5K through Canary Wharf. His fastest kilometre was km 2 in 5:33, and he closed well with 5:42 for the final kilometre. His pacing was consistent across the full distance: 5:48, 5:33, 5:54, 5:47, 5:42. After a quicker second kilometre, there was a small dip at km 3, but he recovered immediately and finished the last 2 km faster than that section. As a coachs note, aiming to smooth out the gap between km 2 and km 3 could help him turn this steady run into a more even and potentially quicker 5K next time.
