Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Irina Gudozhnik #6534 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Strong age-group result with a fast opening kilometre Irina ran 5.00 km in 30:25, averaging 6:05/km. Her standout stat was 11th in the Female 55+ division, and she finished 2540th of 5624 overall. In a big evening 5K through Canary Wharf, she also placed 906th among women. She opened quickly with a 5:46 first kilometre, then covered the middle 3 km in 18:36 at 6:12/km before closing the final kilometre in 6:03. That late pickup after a 6:21 fourth kilometre was a positive finish. From a coaching view, the main opportunity is pacing: a slightly more even effort after the strong first kilometre could help preserve momentum through kilometres 3 and 4 while keeping that solid closing speed.
