Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Muhsin Tamturk #6361 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Fast opening kilometre set up a steady 5K Muhsin ran 5.00 km in 28:37, averaging 5:43/km. His quickest segment was the opening kilometre in 5:09, followed by 5:48, 5:58, 5:57, and 5:47. That gave him a positive split from the fast start, but he regained a little pace in the final kilometre to close stronger than the middle section. He placed 181st in the Male 3640 division. In a field of 5,624, this was a solid outing at Run The Wharf, the evening Canary Wharf 5K known for its closed-road city route and Friday Night Lights atmosphere. From a coaching view, the standout stat is the gap between km 1 and the rest of the race: settling closer to 5:405:45/km earlier could help him hold a more even rhythm across all 5 km.
