Strong negative split with a fast closing kilometre Meghan ran 5.0 km in 22:56, averaging 4:35/km. She finished 156th of 2,302 women and 51st in the female 2630 category, placing 799th overall out of 5,624. In a large Canary Wharf field, that put her in the top 15% overall and top 7% among women. Her pacing improved well across the race: 4:48, 4:30, 4:43, 4:34, then 4:23 for the final kilometre. She moved up steadily from 1,116th overall at 1 km to 799th at the finish, gaining 317 places. The standout stat is the close: final kilometre was 25 seconds quicker than the first. As a coachs note, smoothing out the small dip in kilometre 3 could bring the average pace down further.
