Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Gavin Davidson #7265 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Strong finish with progressive pacing and a sub-23:10 5K Gavin ran 5.00 km in 23:05, averaging 4:37/km at Run The Wharf in London. In a field of 5,624, he finished 838th overall, placing in roughly the top 15%. He was 539th of the men and 163rd in the Male 2630 division. Representing CWG, he also took part in the On Speed Zone. His pacing was the standout stat: 4:39, 4:45, 4:44, 4:33, then 4:25 for the final kilometre. That closing kilometre was 20 seconds quicker than his opening one, showing a well-managed effort and a strong finish through the last 2 km. As a next step, aiming to bring kilometres 2 and 3 closer to the pace of the final 2 km could move the overall average down further on another fast evening 5K.
