Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Kareem Dawodu #6564 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Fast Start, Strong Finish Over 5K Kareem covered 5.00 km in 28:40, averaging 5:44/km. He opened with his quickest kilometre in 5:09, then settled into 6:09, 5:52 and 6:02 before closing well in 5:29. That final kilometre was 40 seconds quicker than km 4, a solid late response over the last section. Among 5,624 finishers, he placed 63rd in the Male 5155 division. His position stayed steady through the middle of the race, holding 62nd in the age group from 2 km to 4 km before finishing 63rd. In an evening 5K built for speed through Canary Wharf, the standout stats were the sharp opening kilometre and the strong rebound at the end. For the next race, aiming for a more even middle 3 km could help convert that fast start into a quicker overall time.
