Steady 5K with a strong second kilometre and solid finish Natasha ran 5.00 km in 30:43, averaging 6:08/km. Her quickest kilometre was km 2 in 5:52, and she closed well with 6:04 for km 5. She was also consistent overall, with every kilometre between 5:52/km and 6:22/km. In a field of 5,624, she finished 947th female and 207th in the Female 3135 category. A useful stat is that she improved from 6:10 in km 1 to 5:52 in km 2 before settling into 6:22, 6:18 and 6:04. That shows good ability to change pace and respond late in the run. As a coaching note, smoothing out the middle kilometres could bring the overall average down further. Run The Wharfs evening closed-road 5K through Canary Wharf suited a controlled, even-effort performance like this.
