Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Hasim Emre Ozocal #6481 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Fast Finish Lifts Overall 5K Average Under 5:00/km Hasim Emre Ozocal ran 5.0km in 24:52, averaging 4:58/km. He finished 1,249th of 5,624 overall, placing in the top 23% of the field, and 151st in the male 3135 category. In an evening 5K built for speed through Canary Wharf, his closing kilometre was the standout: 4:43, his quickest of the race. His pacing opened well at 4:52/km, then settled through 2km in 9:53. The middle section dipped to 5:19 for the third kilometre, but he responded with a steady 4:59 and then that strong final push. That rebound over the last 2km was a good sign of control late in the race. Next step as a coach: aim to smooth out the third kilometre to keep more of the race near his overall sub-5:00/km standard.
