Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Benjamin Kirby #6373 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Strong finish with a fastest final kilometre Benjamin ran 5.00 km in 25:38, averaging 5:07/km. He finished 1,426th of 5,624 overall, placing him in roughly the top 25% of the field. In the male standings, he was 916th, and 171st in the 1825 division. This closed-road Canary Wharf 5K is built for quick evening running, and his pacing made good use of it. His kilometre splits were 5:17, 5:05, 5:21, 5:02, and 4:55. The standout stat is the closing kilometre: 4:55, his quickest of the race and 22 seconds faster than his opening km. He also moved up from 1,691st at 1 km to 1,426th at the finish, gaining 265 places across the race. The third kilometre was the slowest, so a slightly steadier middle section could help bring the overall time down further.
