Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Garrett Cassar #6523 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Fast start, steady finish over 5K Garrett ran 5.00 km in 27:12, averaging 5:26/km. He placed 1,817th of 5,624 overall, 1,133rd of the men, and 213th in the Male 3135 division. His opening kilometre was his quickest at 5:02, and he was still well placed through 2 km in 10:27 (5:13/km average). From 24 km, pace drifted from 5:25 to 5:56/km, then he responded with a stronger final kilometre in 5:17. That rebound is a good sign and shows he could likely gain time by pacing the early section a little more evenly with the middle of the race. In an event built for fast evening running through Canary Wharf, finishing the last kilometre quicker than kilometres 3 and 4 stands out.
