Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Patrick Timmis #6363 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Fast Finish Lifted a Steady 5K Patrick ran 5.0 km in 23:55, averaging 4:47/km. He placed 56th in the Male 4145 category and finished ahead of a large part of the 5,624-runner field, taking 1038th overall. His opening 2 km were controlled at 4:44 and 4:47, reaching 2 km in 9:30. The middle section eased slightly to 4:55 and 4:57 for kilometres 3 and 4, before he closed strongly with his quickest kilometre of the race in 4:34. That late push moved him up from 1054th at 4 km to 1038th at the line. As a coachs note, the finishing speed stands out: matching that 5th kilometre effort a little earlier could bring the overall average down further on another fast evening 5K through Canary Wharf.
