In a fast evening 5K through Canary Wharf, that placed her in the top 0.4% of her age group and about the top 23% overall. Her pacing was the standout stat: 5:07, 5:07, 4:59, 4:57, and 4:48 per km. That is a clear negative split, with each of the final three kilometres quicker than the one before. She moved from 36th to 24th in her division over the race, gaining 12 places, and improved from 410th to 290th among women. As a coachs note, the finish speed suggests she could consider starting a touch more assertively while keeping this same control.
