Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Mariana Gutierrez #6282 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Strong Finish and Well-Controlled 5K Progression Mariana ran 5.00 km in 20:58, averaging 4:11/km. She finished 57th female out of a field of 5,624 and 9th in the Female 3135 division, backed by a very solid close. In a fast evening 5K through Canary Wharf, that sub-21 performance stands out. Her pacing was consistent early and improved through the race: 4:18, 4:15, 4:13, 4:17, then a fastest final kilometre of 3:58. She moved up from 98th to 57th among women over the 5 km, gaining places steadily and then finishing strongly. As a coachs note, the data suggests good control over the first 4 km and excellent finishing speed; with a slightly sharper 4th kilometre, there may be potential to lower the overall time further.
