The key trend was a slowdown after 2 km: km 35 came in 7:40, 8:03, and 7:47, with the final 3 km averaging 7:50/km. Thats a 1:48/km difference versus the opening 2 km, so pacing is the clearest area to refine. A steadier first half would likely support a stronger finish. In a fast evening Canary Wharf 5K built around Friday Night Lights social atmosphere, the early speed showed good intent.
