Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Dervis Kemal #6460 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Strong Finish with Sub-5:00 Closing Kilometer Dervis ran 5.00 km in 25:10, averaging 5:02/km. He finished 1319th of 5624 overall, 856th male, and 163rd in the M3135 division. That places him in roughly the top 24% of the field overall. In an event built for fast evening 5Ks through Canary Wharf, he stayed close to his average throughout. His quickest stretch came at 12 km in 4:53/km, and he closed even faster over the final kilometer in 4:49/km. After 2 km in 10:01, the middle section eased slightly with 5:07 and 5:14 kilometers before a strong rebound to finish. As a coachs note: the finishing speed stands out. Smoothing out kilometers 34 to stay nearer early pace could bring the overall time down further.
