Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Oscar Zhou Chen #6368 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Strong Finish Off a Steady 5K Oscar ran 5.00 km in 22:57, averaging 4:35/km. He placed 807th of 5,624 overall, 517th among men, and 103rd in the male 1825 division. After a 4:41 opening kilometre, he settled into a very even middle section: 4:35, 4:37 and 4:37/km through kilometres 24. The standout stat was his closing kilometre in 4:30, his quickest of the race and 11 seconds faster than the first kilometre. He also moved up sharply after 1 km, from 984th overall to 797th by 2 km, then largely held position. That combination of a controlled middle and fastest finish suggests good pacing judgement. For the next race, a slightly quicker startwhile keeping that strong final kilometrecould help him gain a little more time early on at this fast evening 5K through Canary Wharf.
