Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Yuyang Cao #6394 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Fast Finish Caps a Steady 5K She completed the 5K in 26:20, averaging 5:16/km. Among 5,624 finishers, she placed 1,598th overall, 431st female, and 115th in the female 1825 division. Her pacing was consistent across the race: 5:11, 5:16, 5:24, 5:25, then a quickest closing kilometre of 5:07. That finishing surge stands out most, cutting 18 seconds from her fourth kilometre pace and showing strong closing speed. She also improved position early, moving from 1,639th after 1km to 1,560th by 2km. For the next race, aiming to hold the first-half rhythm a little longer through kilometres 3 and 4 could bring down the overall time. Run The Wharfs closed-road evening 5K through Canary Wharf suited a controlled effort with a strong finish.
