Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Till Handrich #6234 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Division win with a sub-20 5K Till ran 5.00 km in 19:13, averaging 3:50/km. He finished 222nd of 5,624 overall and 107th male, with the standout result of 1st in the Male 55+ division. That placed him in the top 4% overall in a very large field. In an evening 5K built for quick running through Canary Wharf, he delivered a sharp, competitive result. His pacing was strong early: 3:42 for the first km, then 3:48 and 3:52 through 3 km. The fourth kilometre was the slowest at 4:03, before he responded well with a 3:50 final kilometre. That rebound late is a good sign. For the next race, the clearest gain would come from holding the middle section a little closer to the opening 3 km pace.
