Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Benson Kwok #6384 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Steady 5K with a Quick Opening Kilometer Benson ran 5.00 km in 23:39, averaging 4:43/km. In a field of 5,624, he finished 966th overall and 128th in the mens 1825 division. His fastest kilometre was the opening 1 km in 4:36, and he reached 2 km in 9:16 at 4:38/km average pace. The middle of the race was his slowest stretch, with kilometre 3 at 4:53, before he steadied well over the final 2 km at 4:47 and 4:45. That bounce-back after 3 km is a useful positive. A good next step would be aiming to hold the 2 km rhythm deeper into the race, which could bring the overall average closer to the low-4:30s/km in a fast evening 5K setting.
