Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Sohaib Arif #6175 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Fast Opening 1K Set Up a Solid 5K Finish Sohaib completed this 5K in 36:12, averaging 7:14/km. His strongest segment was the opening kilometre in 5:09, and he reached 2K in 11:25 and 3K in 18:47. He finished 472nd in the male 2630 category out of a field of 5,624 overall participants. Representing Revolut, he raced in an event built around Canary Wharfs closed roads and evening atmosphere. From a coaching view, the key stat is the contrast between the first 1K and the closing 2K: after 3K, both the 4th and 5th kilometres were 8:43. That suggests the early pace was ambitious relative to the finish pace. A more even effort across the full 5K could help him hold speed deeper into the race and bring down the overall average pace.
