Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Alex Perrin #6226 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Fast 5K with Strong Mid-Race Efficiency Alex ran 5.00 km in 19:27, averaging 3:53/km. He placed 244th of 5,624 overall, 124th male, and 23rd in the male 1825 division. That puts him well inside the top 5% overall. In an evening 5K built for speed through Canary Wharf, this was a solid sub-20 performance. His pacing showed a conservative opening kilometre of 4:38, followed by a very sharp second kilometre in 2:54, then a steadier close with 3:59, 4:00, and 3:57. The key stat is the rebound after the opening km: he moved up to 212th overall by 2 km. For the next race, a slightly more even first 2 km could help convert that mid-race speed into a faster overall time.
