Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Max Greenhalgh #6249 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Fast Closing Kilometre Lifted a Strong 5K He completed the 5K in 22:13, averaging 4:26/km. Out of 5,624 runners, he finished 662nd overall, 419th among men, and 84th in the male 1825 division. That puts him in roughly the top 12% overall. Representing Delta Capita Ltd, he ran well in an event known for its fast evening streets through Canary Wharf. His pacing was steady through 4km: 4:25, 4:31, 4:37, and 4:40 per km, before a standout final kilometre of 4:03/km. He gained 68 overall places in that closing segment alone, moving from 730th to 662nd. That finishing speed is the key stat here. For the next race, aiming to hold the early pace a little deeper into the middle kilometres could bring the overall time down further.
