Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Alisa Belchenko #6513 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Strong Finish and Well-Paced 5K Alisa ran 5.00 km in 28:48, averaging 5:45/km. She placed 150th in the female 1825 division, 702nd among women, and 2191st overall out of 5624. Her pacing was steady through 4 km: 5:42, 6:06, 6:05, and 5:53, before a notably quicker final kilometre in 5:04. That closing kilometre was 49 seconds faster than her overall average pace and the quickest segment of her race by a clear margin. She also improved her overall placing from 2399th at 1 km to 2191st at the finish, gaining 208 places, including 104 among women. From a coaching view, the finish shows strong reserve; aiming to bring a little of that final-kilometre pace into the middle section could lower her overall time further in another fast evening 5K through Canary Wharf.
