Strong finish with the quickest final kilometre Tania ran 5.00 km in 30:49, averaging 6:10/km. She placed 115th in the Female 3640 division and finished ahead of roughly half the field overall (2634 of 5624). Her fastest kilometre was the last one in 5:51/km, and her opening kilometre was also solid at 5:57/km. After 2 km in 12:22, her middle section settled at 6:25, 6:21 and 6:16/km before a clear late push. That closing kilometre was 34 seconds quicker than kilometre 2 and 25 seconds quicker than kilometre 3. As a coachs note, the finish speed stands out; carrying a little more of that pace through kilometres 24 could trim the overall time further in another fast evening 5K through Canary Wharf.
