Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Gianluca Roviello #6205 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Strong Finish and Smart Negative Split Gianluca ran 5.00km in 22:46, averaging 4:33/km. He placed 772nd of 5,624 overall, 493rd male, and 88th in the M3135 category. His pacing improved through the race: 1km in 4:50, 2km in 4:34, 3km in 4:44, 4km in 4:28, and a fastest final kilometre of 4:12. That closing kilometre stands out: 38 seconds quicker than his opening kilometre, showing strong finishing speed and good control. He also moved up steadily after 1km, gaining 325 places overall from 1km to the finish. In a fast evening 5K through Canary Wharf with Friday Night Lights, that late-race progress is a notable stat. For the next race, aiming to bring the first kilometre closer to overall pace could unlock a slightly faster total time.
