Fast opening 2K set up a solid 5K finish Sofia ran 5.00 km in 27:46, averaging 5:33/km. She placed 1,943rd of 5,624 overall, 579th woman, and 117th in the female 3135 division. Her strongest section came early: 1K splits of 5:15 and 5:16 gave her a 10:31 2K, with position improving to 1,644th overall and 443rd woman at that point. From 2K onward, her pace eased to 5:48, 5:52, and then recovered slightly to 5:38 in the final kilometre. That late pickup is a good sign, especially in a fast evening 5K like Run The Wharf through Canary Wharf. As a coachs note, holding the 2K rhythm deeper into the race would likely bring her closer to the 27-minute mark next time.
