Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Anand Rajan #6603 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Strong Closing Kilometre Lifts Overall 5K He completed the 5K in 37:21, averaging 7:28/km. His fastest kilometre came at the end in 7:03, after opening with 6:59/km and then settling into a steady middle section of 7:45, 7:44, and 7:52. That late surge was a clear positive and showed he still had speed available over the final kilometre. Among 5,624 runners, he finished 3,543rd overall and 330th in the mens 3135 division. The key stat is the contrast between the final kilometre and kilometres 24: finishing 4249 seconds quicker than each of those middle kilometres suggests a bit more even pacing could lower his total time next time. Run The Wharfs closed-road evening format suited a strong finish well, and he capitalised on it.
