Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Daphne Fischer #6446 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Fast opening kilometre and a solid closing response Daphne ran 5.00 km in 31:56, averaging 6:23/km. She placed 2,841st of 5,624 overall, 1,097th female, and 339th in the female 2630 division. Her fastest kilometre was the first in 5:41/km, and she finished with a strong final kilometre in 6:12/km after covering the fourth in 6:59/km. The pacing trend was 5:41, 6:21, 6:45, 6:59, then 6:12 per km. That late pickup is a good sign of control and resilience. From a coaching perspective, the main opportunity is to smooth out the middle section, where pace drifted across kilometres 2 to 4. On this fast evening 5K through Canary Wharf, finishing the last kilometre 47 seconds quicker than the fourth stands out.
