Strong Finish with Fastest Closing Kilometre Andrew completed the 5K in 33:24, averaging 6:40/km. He placed 231st in the M36-40 division and finished ahead of roughly 45% of the 5,624-runner field. His quickest kilometre came at the end in 6:23, a strong close after covering the opening 2km in 13:07 at 6:33/km. The middle of the race dipped slightly, with kilometres 3 and 4 both at 6:58, before he regained pace well over the final kilometre. That late pickup is a useful positive on a fast evening 5K through Canary Wharf. As a coaching note, the clearest gain would come from holding closer to his 2km pace through kilometres 3 and 4; with that, his finishing speed suggests a quicker overall result is within reach.
