Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Nikoline Heather Ebbesen Laidlaw #6374 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Strong Finish and Well-Paced 5K Nikoline ran 5.00 km in 24:36, averaging 4:55/km. She placed 1,183rd of 5,624 overall, 261st female, and 44th in the female 3135 division. In a fast evening 5K through Canary Wharf, that is a solid top-21% overall finish and top-16% in her division. Her pacing was controlled across the full distance: 4:54, 5:01, 5:06, 4:55, then a quickest final kilometre of 4:43. She improved position steadily from 1,311th at 1 km to 1,183rd at the finish, gaining places in every kilometre except between 3 km and 4 km where she held steady. The closing kilometre stands out most. As a coachs note, the big opportunity is to keep kilometre 3 closer to the opening pace, which could bring the overall time down further.
