Fast Finish and Strong Age-Group Result Tara ran 5.00 km in 25:25, averaging 5:05/km. She placed 11th in the Female 4650 division, 338th female, and 1374th of 5624 overall. That age-group finish stands out in a large field, and she held a steady overall pace throughout the race. Her opening 2 km were very consistent at 5:02/km for both kilometres, followed by 5:14/km for km 3 and 4, before closing with her quickest kilometre at 4:55/km. That late surge is a strong sign of control and finishing strength. As a coachs note, maintaining a little more of the early rhythm through the middle kilometres could bring the overall time down further at future 5Ks, especially on a quick evening course like Run The Wharf.
