Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Harry Johnson #5104 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Fast finish seals elite podium with 2:54/km average Harry ran 14:31 for 5.00 km, averaging 2:54/km, and placed 3rd overall out of 5,624. He was also 3rd in the Male Elite field. In an event built for speed through Canary Wharfs closed roads, he stayed near the front throughout and finished on the podium. His kilometre splits were 2:57, 2:53, 3:02, 2:57, and 2:44. The standout stat was the final kilometre: 2:44, the quickest of his race, showing strong closing speed after 4 km in 11:48. The only dip came in kilometre 3 at 3:02 before he returned to 2:57 pace and then kicked hard. From a coaching view, that finishing strength is a major positive; smoothing out the mid-race slowdown could make the overall pace even sharper.
