Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Danny Adams #5022 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Fast Start, Strong Top-20 Finish Danny covered 5.00 km in 15:13, averaging 3:02/km. He finished 17th overall out of 5,624, 16th in Male Elite, and 6th in the Male Elite 2630 division. That puts him well inside the top 1% of the field overall. In an evening 5K built for quick running through Canary Wharf, this was a very competitive result. His opening 2 km were especially sharp at 2:58 and 2:57/km, reaching 2 km in 5:55. Pace then moved to 3:07/km for the third kilometre and 3:11/km for the fourth before he responded well with a 3:02/km final kilometre. He gained one division place late, moving from 7th to 6th over the last kilometre. From a coaching view, the key opportunity is to hold a little more of that early speed through kilometres 34.
